My love and prayers go out to those affected by Hurricaine Harvey in the Gulf Coast. As always in any disaster, I am particularly concerned about those with asthma, allergic disease including food allergy.
After Superstorm Sandy, and the Colorado fires, AAFA put together a roadmap of how we would respond to future natural disasters. Our response to this storm – as in others – is to ask people to donate food allergy friendly food and ship to a local food bank that will then make sure that those with special dietary needs are able to obtain them.
Here is the information posted in AAFA’s website that contains instructions for those who want to send donated shelf-stable food allergy friendly items to those in need to the San Antonio Food Bank.
Good bless all of those who are affected by this catastrophic storm.
