A devastating tornado ripped through several towns in Illinois last weekend affecting numerous families, food allergy individuals, and destroying their homes right before the Thanksgiving holiday. As advisory chair of the Kids With Food Allergies Foundation and the chair of the Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Relief Committee, I was contacted by Jayme, who lives outside of the area who had food allergic children and who was ready to launch into action. There are three locations who will accept food allergy friendly foods. Please read below from the Kids With Food Allergies Foundation blog. We’ve verified that all of the locations will take boxes of food labeled “FOOD ALLERGY FRIENDLY”. If you’re wondering what this means, here is a link to my Amazon.com wish list where there are food allergy friendly, gluten free foods.
Thank you for your generous donations in advance of the Thanksgiving Holiday and may all of you have a safe and very Happy Thanksgiving!
