Restauranteur, executive chef, speaker and cookbook author Roberto Santibanez will open a new restaurant today called La Botaneria @LaBotaneria in Park Slope Brooklyn which will feature Latin inspired food, drinks and local wine and beer and I couldn’t be more excited.
After my birthday dinner at Fonda Restaurant, my friends and I were treated to a sneak peek inside Roberto Santibanez’ new restaurant La Botaneria. La Botaneria is across the street from Fonda (in the former Beer Table space), on 7th Avenue. Roberto was a fantastic host and we had the opportunity to sample some delicious Jamon serrano(spanish ham) as well as wines.
The menu (pictured above) will feature plates with Latin flavor such as the Charcuteria (tabla de Charcuteria) – a charcuterie board with Chorizo Cantimpalo, lomo enbuchado, morcilla and Jamon serrano. This fantastic array is served with smoked pimenton aioli, home made pickles and Sullivan bakery bread. The wine list features local wines as well as a few other gems.
